State-owned $50m recycling plant could process half Victoria's plastic

and here we go with some whip cracken reactionary measures that will certainly bring a storm to any tea-cup...A PLAN that could have included education and simple domestic processes would have been a great thing to help combat this continuing saga.

Are you coming to the Repair Cafe launch on Saturday? Here are some things to look forward to:

- 1:30pm: Demonstration of a 3D part printed for repair
- 2pm: Welcome speech by Repair Cafe Ballarat founder Mary Duff
- 3pm: Q&A on repairing electrical goods with electrical engineers from Hackerspace
- More than 20 volunteer repairers with skills in textile, electrical, television, jewellery, books, bicycle, wine barrel and wooden bucket repairs
- Rechargeable battery charging
- Free battery testers available
- Lighter refilling service
